Peterson exposing an eco-cultist wolf cloaked as a conservative sheep

“The climate scam is collapsing”, Tom Nelson, April 10, 2025 (Posted on Anthony Watts’ site “Wattsupwiththat.com”)

(“Its all over now, baby blue”- Bob Dylan)

Don’t be too assured that it’s all over now. As Richard Landes says, when an apocalyptic crusade appears to be failing, the leaders often double down and shift into the phase of “exterminate or be exterminated”. Desperate to survive as their entire universe, along with their very identity, faces demise and extinction. They may do “desperate measures” crazy things.

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2025/04/10/over-30-items-here-evidence-that-the-climate-scam-is-collapsing/

Nelson lists over 30 items giving evidence that the climate scam is collapsing.

He says, “The climate scam is imploding right now. Of course there are still plenty of remaining pockets of climate cultism, but the whole movement is crumbling. It’s the most massive scientific fraud in human history, and it will take significant time to completely die, but make no mistake: It IS dying.”

See link above for further links on each particular item:

I will list only some…

“A powerful climate alliance of the World Economic Forum, major companies, the UN, and banks is at an end”.

“Delicious straight talk from US EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin- “We are driving a dagger through the heart of climate change religion.”

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright- “Climate change alarmism is a ‘quasi-cult religion’”.

“Michael Shellenberger/Roger Pielke Jr.- “Climate change is going to fade from view like overpopulation did.”

“Michael Mann is now losing in court to Mark Steyn.”

“Britain’s banks are quietly distancing themselves from Net Zero commitments.”

“Warmist Sabine Hossenfelder laments that ‘Everyone is giving up on climate goals… global businesses are done pretending that they care about carbon neutrality.’”

“Bloomberg- ‘Years of climate action demolished in days’”.

“Lots of companies have been abandoning climate goals.”

Nelson concludes: “After discovering so many massive, high-profile COVID lies in recent years, large numbers of people are asking themselves “What else are they lying about?”, and the answer is “just about everything”.

“Elites tried for the Great Reset but they got a Great Awakening.”

Good psychological analysis of Mark Carney by Jordan Peterson

Carney is a modern “philosopher king” wolf, an eco-zealot of exactly the same nature as Justin Trudeau but with smoother presentation skills to cloak/hide his primitive apocalyptic worldview and related policies that will continue to destroy Canadian society just as Trudeau has done with his own version of decarbonization madness. Leaving a legacy of a Canada destroyed by a “lost decade”.

Carney should be properly included in Richard Landes’ description of the original Bolshevik collectivists as “superstitious members of a salvationist apocalyptic millennial cult”. According to my own crude “psychological analysis”- he is, uncloaked, a “carney barker for a cult”.

Now this good analysis by Jordan Peterson…

Are older Liberal-voting Canadians selfish — or blind?: Younger Canadians have known nothing but drama, and they didn’t have the good old days”, April 11, 2025

https://nationalpost.com/opinion/jordan-peterson-are-older-liberal-voting-canadians-selfish-or-blind

Quotes and paraphrases from Peterson’s article:

Peterson says that older Canadians are voting, in a majority, for Carney because he reminds them of a previous Liberal party and an era in Canada that they believed was “reliable, sane, peaceful, productive, orderly, industrious, tolerant.” Plus, they fear the potential economic disruption that is necessary to correct the mess that Justin Trudeau has left.

Add here that they are “Terrified… of Trump and his idiot bullying machinations.”

But younger voters are not so lost in falsely imagined nostalgia. They will vote in a majority for Conservatives. Further, this current voter preference overturns the proclivity that normally holds with politics and aging- i.e. that younger voters tend to lean left but become more conservative as they grow older. People shift away from “idiot radicalism” with age. We remember that maxim- “If you are not socialist when young, you have no heart, but if you are still socialist when older then you have no brains.”

Peterson then uncloaks the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” that is Carney. He rips off the fraudulent guise of this latest “superstitious member of a salvationist apocalyptic millennial cult.”

Get Peterson’s points… Despite older Canadian’s wishfulness to frame Carney as representative of the past Liberal party that was more common-sense centrism….

“Mark Carney is not Paul Martin, nor Lester Pearson. He’s not even John Turner. He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and the older citizens of Canada, deluded by his slick, charming, well-practiced and professionally stage-managed persona, have no idea whatsoever how the world has shifted in the last twenty years. Worse, they have little desire to know, taking refuge as they are in their too-convenient and too-willful blindness.

“Carney claims to be the old-school, essentially centrist/conservative Liberal “outsider” who will bring sanity back and normalize Canada. But he is no outsider, that’s a walloping lie, and one that Canadians would do well to notice. Furthermore, he is no industrial magnate in the 1950’s — or 1990’s mode. He is, instead, The Man who believes that carbon dioxide poses a threat so catastrophic and immediate that strict control of fossil fuel emissions is not only necessary, but morally required. He has indicated in his own writing that all means at hand must be employed (and watch out for that “must”) to ensure that every single financial decision taken by every company and every individual — man, woman and child — must prioritize NetZero and decarbonization.”

Peterson adds that Carney, an acolyte of WEF, has stated that all decisions in our societies must be made by experts like himself. Carney embraces the “Philosopher king” pathology of Plato. Enlightened elites dominating and controlling societies. Carney, a zealous apocalyptic mythology devotee, further suggests that the “climate emergency” will demand responses similar to the Covid lockdown.

Peterson continues…

“What does all this mean? It means that Carney is a degrowth radical masquerading as a 1990’s banker. He’s been pushing a radically leftist globalist green agenda for years — with far more effect, nationally and internationally, than Trudeau whom he’s replaced. It means that Carney will do to Canada exactly what the equally deluded Boris Johnson did to the U.K.: break it, while moralizing madly about the role he is playing, as veritable planetary saviour.”

Carney is fully with those caught in the psychopathology of Left-wing authoritarianism and deformed compassion who desire to virtue signal for moral status and are embracing policies that destroy societies to “save the world”. He sincerely believes, according to his apocalyptic millennial narrative, that the world is under “end of days” threat.

Peterson warns that Carney is presenting a false picture of himself and he is not the person to restore Canada to health again after the disastrous years of the Trudeau government. Carney, says Peterson, is “The Man at the vanguard of antigrowth economic collapse and authoritarian financial control”.

“Carney is not only not who he appears, and not who you think he is, he is much worse. He is everything terrible about Trudeau, with a greater reach, internationally, and with more executive and managerial skill.”

Peterson decries the blindness of older Canadians, their “current willful blindness and willingness to betray your children and your country.

I posted this previously:

“Elite financial expert? No, just another “carny barker” for a cult”, Wendell Krossa (Understanding the real Mark Carney.)

http://www.wendellkrossa.com/?p=13274#more-13274

Varied commentators have pointed out Carney’s basic WEF socialism. Additionally, historians have pulled the cloak off this “would-be emperor” to expose the nakedness of the underlying collectivism that he proposes. I would add that behind his “secular/ideological salvationism” there is the same old superstitious primitivism of apocalyptic millennial cultism.

These quotes from my previous posting…

“Mark Carney has successfully elbowed his way to become Liberal leader and replaced Justin Trudeau.

“Historian Richard Landes noted that the Bolsheviks tried to masquerade their movement as “science and modernity”, but they were nothing more than “superstitious members of a salvationist apocalyptic millennial cult”. My mind returned to Landes’ comments on the Bolsheviks as I watched Mark Carney replacing Trudeau.

“See the varied comments below on Carney, WEF socialist (he is a board member) and climate alarmist, seeking to bring his WEF-style climate crusade to Canada to reframe the Liberal party with his smoother elitist presentation. He will replace, but maintain, the destructive eco-zealotry of Justin Trudeau. And take it to even further reaches of destructiveness if elected to a full term.

“Carney is an eco-cultist trying, with elitist smoothness, to present himself as financial expert. No different from the self-delusional framing of the original Bolsheviks, and Marxist elites in general, who wished to mask their salvationist apocalyptic cult as some form of modernism- i.e. as ideology, science, philosophy, etc. Note, for example, Marxism’s claim to “scientific history”. Primitive mythology (apocalyptic millennialism) masked as something rational and credible.

“Contemporary “leftist Progressivism” crusaders like Carney have zealously wedded themselves to the climate cult, a general position among contemporary Leftism, also noted by climate experts like Richard Lindzen.”

More on what lies behind the tariffs hysteria, the real issues and battle, Wendell Krossa

The blurb below from Free Press probably gets closest to what is actually behind the tariff thing pushed by Trump- i.e. the battle between the US and China “to define the future”. Basically- freedom versus totalitarianism.

This is about the critical battle for freedom, what with China’s stated intentions that its aggressively expansive authoritarian/totalitarian system should be the model for the new world order, along with help from Russia and Iran. The World Economic Forum people (WEF led by Klaus Schwab) have also specifically affirmed the Chinese model of governance as best for the world.

When asked which country he most admired, Justin Trudeau said that it was China’s dictatorship because they knew how to get things done, as in “turn their economy around on a dime”. Much like his use of state coercion with the “Emergencies Act” to stop a legitimate protest against Covid lockdowns and mandates that Canada coercively carried on far beyond other countries.

https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/a-judge-ruled-trudeaus-use-of-the-emergencies-act-unconstitutional-so-what-happens-next

So also, Chrysta Freeland (Trudeau’s second in command and now in Carney’s leadership group) was on the board of WEF. Trudeau was just following the example of his Daddy who was a fanboy of Mao and Castro. Remember Daddy Trudeau’s socialist nationalization ploy for control of Canadian energy. Like all Marxists- “nationalize”, as in take ownership of the economy on behalf of or “for the people” (take ownership of the “means of production” for the greater good of the collective), the great lie that has been exposed well by Kristian Niemietz in Socialism: The Failed Idea That Never Dies”. He details the patterns of the 24 socialist experiments over the past century or so.

Niemietz quote: “Socialism in the sense which self-identified democratic socialists define it… a democratized economic planned collectively by ‘the people’, has never been achieved anywhere and could not be achieved. Economic planning can only ever be done in a technocratic, elitist fashion, and it requires an extreme concentration of power in the hands of the state. It cannot ‘empower’ ordinary workers. It can only ever empower bureaucratic elites.”

Add also- Why do people keep falling for such destructive approaches? Niemietz (quoting from social psychologist Jonathan Haidt)- “Emotional satisfaction, not rational thinking, and despite contrary evidence, dominates our choice in beliefs.”

This is the great battle for freedom today as many have bought into the new socialism/collectivism pushed in Woke Progressivism (big state run by power-holding elites, with ever-expanding bureaucracies to control societies, bureaucracies needing ever more taxation to fund them, and generating ever more burdensome regimes of regulations to control the lives of citizens). Canada increased its federal government bureaucracy by 42% under Trudeau and with regulatory burdens like Bill C-69 we can’t get anything done, especially on energy development. As Pierre Poilievre warns, it takes 19 years to get approval to open a new mine. No wonder companies do not want to invest any more in Canada. Carney won’t back off that Bill C-69.

https://financialpost.com/federal_election/bill-c-69-campaign-wedge-issue

But the Trump tariff thing- this is about the battle of the future for freedom, and which model do we want to organize our societies. The authoritarian domination and control of societies by collectivist elites, or true democracy as in institutions and systems of laws that serve the people, that protect the rights and freedoms of all individuals, equally. Classic Liberalism, liberal democracy.

Historians like Arthur Herman have traced this battle of collectivism versus democracy that is oriented to individual rights and freedoms, down from Plato and Aristotle to the present. In the collectivist line of historical descent- i.e. from Plato (enlightened “philosopher kings” running societies) to Hegel (the state governed by elites as the embodiment of the “will of the people”) to Marx (enlightened vanguards subjecting all citizens to collectives that ban private property). Plato’s validation of dominating elites was passed into Western civilization through Paul and his Christ myth of “Lord Jesus” (See Bob Brinsmead’s reports on “The Hellenization of Christianity”). Note how Jesus had, previous to Paul, rejected the very idea of lording over others, stating that true greatness was to not lord over but to serve others.

To fully understand why so many support the socialist/collectivist approach to organizing society (51% of US youth coming out of leftist-dominated universities affirm socialism as the best way to organize societies) look into the psychopathology of left-wing authoritarianism/compassion and the basic human felt need to virtue signal for status as a morally good person. “Seeking status as morally good” even when the very collectivist policies that you push as “compassion for the underprivileged” actually harm and destroy the lives of those people. Well, argue the socialists/collectivists, “You need to break eggs to make an omelette”. As in the 100 million murdered by socialist/collectivist experiments last century?
Thanks for your love and compassion, but no thanks.

Do not be fooled by arguments that Woke Progressivism is the more humane and morally righteous approach to organizing society. Its DEI is the new tribal dualism of collectivist approaches- i.e. all people categorized as either “oppressors” (private property owners), or “oppressed” (property poor or propertyless). That tribal dualism is now re-affirmed with a new racism/discrimination- i.e. Woke Racism as in the victimizers/victims categorization of populations, now assigned according to skin color or race. As some suggest- This is to stir animosity among citizens and keep citizen’s attention off the behind-the-scenes manipulation and control by elites.

Don’t get dragged into the media hysteria over tariff numbers and temporary outcomes (markets up and down) as they continue to vent their deranged TDS over every detail of what Trump does or says. Keep your eye on the bigger background things going on- i.e. the battle for freedom that is being fought worldwide today.

This blurb from Free Press… April 10, 2025

“This Isn’t Just a Trade War. It’s a Fight for the Twenty-First Century.”

Points in Free Press blurb:

They note that Trump paused on most of the country’s tariffs but doubled down on China’s tariffs.

The point in this appears to be the recognition that this is a great battle for the future.

They state that media have missed “The art of the deal” that Trump is engaged in and as with others (Kevin O’Leary) we need to let Trump work this out as he is a master negotiator. Hence, his continuing increase on tariffs on China. And China not backing down as they appear to recognize the real issues behind this “trade war”, the issue of who will dominate the future.

Free Press notes also that others see in this “the United States “decoupling” from China.”

Yet others have noted the dangerous dependence of the US on China to produce critically basic items. That has to end.

Free Press ends with this insightful comment:

“Now the president seems to have given up on any kind of grand bargain with Beijing—instead overseeing the divorce of the world’s two largest economies. But, as Matt and Liza explain, this fight is about so much more than trade. It is “nothing less than a contest for mastery of the twenty-first century.”

Free Press then ends with linked content that is behind their paywall.

More on the big background issues… Wendell Krossa

Online definition of “Lording”- “To behave as if you are more important than someone and have a right to tell that person what to do.”

More on the point above regarding the great battle for freedom behind the tariffs and related issues, the fight for freedom against totalitarianism.

This is why this site, along with Bob Brinsmead and others, goes after the Christ myth of Paul- i.e. his “Lord Jesus”. That myth, above all others, has affirmed the “lording over others” pathology in Western consciousness, narratives, and civilization. Paul’s Lord Jesus has long affirmed the primitive belief that “people were created to serve the (dominating. lording) gods”.

The outcome? Ethical standards that are based on similarly themed and validating beliefs. As the New Testament states re the ethical outcomes of its theology- Wives are to be subject to their husbands, husbands are to be subject to Lord Jesus, a lordship to be mediated through lording priesthoods and religious authorities. And all citizens are to be subject to lording states/governments appointed to lord over all by the ultimate authority of a God who is presented as a “Lord, King, Ruler.” Out of that came the nonsense of the “divine right of kings” that was inherited from our prehuman, subhuman past. Commoners were subjected to some of their fellow humans posing as more enlightened elites who claimed that they were divinely enlightened and appointed to rule the rest of the people.

So, in our going after this “lord, lord, lord” stuff emerging out of early human narratives, we are going to the roots of the totalitarian impulse that has long been unleashed and affirmed in Western, and world, civilization. We are probing what ideas/beliefs validate authoritarianism, as in the “behavior based on similar belief” relationship. We look at the contributing factors from far back in history that have contributed to validating the pathology of human lording over others and thereby undermined and often outright destroyed human freedom and self-determination, as in the curse of those who promote the “elite/commoner” divide in our societies.

This is a basic human rights issue. The belief in governing elites as dominating and controlling authorities first emerged in the earliest primitive societies, with the first shaman seeking to elevate themselves over fellow tribal members. That began with the use of fear in relation to mythology- i.e. the totalitarian’s formula of “Fear=control”.

The earliest shaman/priests began their project to lord over other with claims to know the secrets to the invisible world of angry gods and the god’s demands for appeasing sacrifice and subservience to the divine, a subservience that was to be mediated through those earliest elites. That led to the later creation of formal religious priesthoods dominating early states along with related religious institutions, authorities, and complex systems of religious conditions. A threatening deity was maintained at the very center of such domination, as the cohering center of narratives or belief systems.

And to counter this pathology of elite domination, we focus on recovering a critical Jesus insight that blew all this lording madness apart. That Palestinian wisdom sage challenged and overturned entirely the institutionalized domination and control of society by religious elites/priests. He provided, along with other early dissenters, the mental liberation to eventually challenge state/government elites. Jesus did that with an entirely new theology that the ultimate Ideal and Authority is a God who serves. Yes, that is all there in his statement on what true greatness was to be about- i.e. not lording over others but serving. That, he argued, is true love and greatness. And after all don’t true believers shout “God is great”?

He emphasized the ethical element (how we should behave) in stating that true greatness was to serve, not to lord over others. This was in line with his general teaching pattern in other places, notably, his use of the “behavior based on similar belief” relationship- e.g. “Be merciful just as your Father/God is merciful”. So we can conclude that he was stating (my paraphrase), “Be great by serving others just as your Father/God is great in serving others”.

In his teaching he used ethical standards to reveal the true nature of God. He did theology by reasoning from the best in humanity out to deity. He posited the best of being human as revealing and affirming the nature of deity.

The best example of this “behavior based on and revealing the nature of deity” is the Matthew 5 and Luke 6 statements that “there should be no more eye for eye retaliatory justice but that instead we should love our enemies because God does. How so? God gives the most fundamental gifts of life- i.e. sun and rain critical to survival in agrarian society- to both good and bad people. No discrimination, no exclusion, no retaliatory punishment. Just inclusive, generous love shown equally to all. So, he stated, be unconditionally loving just as God is unconditionally loving.”

This site probes the dominating ideals/ideas/beliefs that shape our narratives, that frame the stories and themes that we live by, that shape our thinking, that inspire, guide, motivate, and shape our responses and behavior, that influence the policies that we embrace to shape our larger societies, the way that we organize our societies. The critical point here is how so many of the ideals/beliefs that we still live according to are anti-human, freedom.

The best that we have come up with to counter this problem/pathology of dominating elites is the approach of Classic Liberalism, liberal democracy. This system of principles, common laws, and representative institutions operates to protect the rights and freedoms of all individuals, equally. But it demands constant vigilance that it is actually operating as it was originally intended because it suffers constant assault from elites seeking to manipulate government systems of law and institutions for selfish purposes, to undermine popular democracy/populism and replace with elite dominated bureaucracies that no longer serve the people. As Mike Benz said, the behind-the-scenes elites have constructed a massive infrastructure to censor, dominate, and control societies, to push their version of “democracy” defined as “the consensus of state institutions”.

Classic Liberalism or liberal democracy must be affirmed with new narratives framed around new views of Ultimate Ideal and Authority- i.e. deity- not as dominating/lording but as serving, as per the insights in the new theology of Historical Jesus, insights entirely contrary to Paul’s “Lord Jesus Christ” myth.

This background issue of the greater battle for freedom against the aggressive push of some for domination, this is coming out of the tariff thing that media have distorted with their TDS-driven hysteria over the Orange Monster that they have created over past years. That obfuscates entirely the real issues being engaged in the background.

You have one person (and his coalition), on one side, fighting for the freedom of commoners, and on the other side you have thugs wanting to rule the world with a totalitarian system that will destroy societies, and overall civilization, just as it did repeatedly with the last century’s socialist experiments (see again Kristian Niemietz’s “Socialism: The Failed Idea That Never Dies”).

“The giant sucking sound that will destroy this country”, Ross Perot.

Here Joe Rogan and a guest discuss what Perot warned about decades ago re this open trade globalization and what it produced for the US.

https://youtu.be/e0AX-XEcmCs?si=8q4MAufVLWKoC9OL

Ross Perot in the 92 presidential debate with Clinton and Bush made the case, brilliantly, for why tariffs are critical to ensure that we actually get to “free trade”. Fair and equal trade. Note the many countries now rushing to Washington to engage Trump to actually initiate new “zero tariff” free trade deals.

Trump’s tactic to bring negotiating pressure on all the nations using tariffs, is working. So keep the big picture in view and don’t fall for the media hysteria and lying about what is really involved.

Perot warned back in 92 that what the US was doing with “free trade” and an open economy would destroy the country.

But that “open society” approach mainly benefitted the wealthy and the misguided elites pushing the new globalization ideology- i.e. that if the US took the hit to its manufacturing base and openly, without tariffs, engaged with authoritarian nations like China then it could draw such nations toward democracy and extend US influence all across the globe. Now we see the utter failure of such thinking. There were some good intentions in the mix.

The same failure of standardless opening to mass immigration, to embracing a multi-culturalism that does not insist on immigrants adopting the values and practices of Classic Liberalism, or liberal democracy, has subjected Western societies to now recognized dangerous consequences/outcomes.

And this…

Gates, a WEF acolyte, muddles this thoroughly with his generalized statements that China’s rise is a “huge win for the world… countries like China need to play a bigger role in world governance”. No Bill, not in “governance”, as even you admit that they are “autocratic”. Yes, to the Chinese people becoming more fully engaged with the world. But not their totalitarian government playing a bigger role.
